Tyler’s Mission Trip

Tyler Smothers, our drummer at FBC, and his girlfriend Sadye Booz, who serves in our nursery, are going on an OBU mission trip at the end of the month.  They have attended FBC for the past 2 school years.  Sayde has raised all her funds.  Tyler still needs the majority of his trip funded and asks if individuals or Sunday School classes would help make his trip possible.  The information Tyler provided is below.

The purpose of this trip is to work together with the International Baptist Centre to build relationships and give support to international students. Tasks will include assisting students with transportation, tutoring and building conversational English skills, and building intentional relationships.

- Sadye and Tyler will be leaving on the 30th of July and returning on the 19th of August

- We will be serving the International Baptist Centre at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (main campus for the largest university in the state)

- As of 2018 the U.S. reach a new high of 1.09 million international students studying at universities

- Roughly 80% of world leaders study at U.S. universities.

- All funding or assistance given for this trip will go to OBU

The original amount required to raise for the trip is $3700.

All gifts should be given to OBU online if possible. The link is
