First Connections June 22 2018

First Baptist Church Shawnee

Be Disciples. Make Disciples.

Then the King will say “My Father has blessed you, for when I was hungry, you gave me something to eat and when I was thirsty you gave me something to drink. When I was a stranger you welcomed me, and when I was naked you gave me clothes to wear. When I was sick, you took care of me, and when I was in jail you visited me… For whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it to me.”

Matthew 25:34-36, 40; CEV

Pool Party with a Purpose

 Counters Needed

It is best to have a minimum of three persons to count the tithes and offerings every Monday morning and one or two others as back-ups in case someone is sick, traveling, etc. With Mary leaving, we are in need of at least one other person to step up and help.  If interested, please call the church office, 275-6111. Thank you!

Celebrate Recovery

Our step-study groups have now closed to work on the inventory process.  Please keep watching for more information in the future months about CR here at FBC – it is looking promising!  We appreciate everyone’s prayers!  For more information, contact Ray/Audrey Rose or Mark/Mary Lively; we are committed to confidentiality in this program.
