Be Disciples. Make Disciples.

Sunday, March 11

May 11 will be Paul’s last official Sunday to preach before Charles Kimball starts.

The Morning Worship will be a combined service.

Also, the Bison Glee Club will be here during the morning worship.

We will honor Paul and Ruth at the end of the morning combined service.  Cards and letters may be put in envelopes and placed in Sunday School record boxes or turned in to Mary Lively in the church office.  Also, the children’s departments will be preparing cards for Paul and Ruth.

Sunday evening we will have a commissioning service for Paul and Ruth as they go forward to their next opportunity of service.  There will be a time of prayer where everyone individually will be able to pray for Paul and Ruth as it will be a laying on of hands.  There will be a short reception after this time of prayer.

Please plan on attending both services so that the gratitude of First Baptist Church, Shawnee, will be felt by Paul and Ruth and they will be encouraged as they go from us.

Women’s Morning Bible Study

We have set some dates to discuss this book and fellowship! A Modern Girls Guide to Bible Study. Instead of doing a long study this semester, we have planned two mornings with brunch, fellowship and discussion. We plan to cover Part 1 (chpt 1-4) on Feb 28th and Part 2 (chpt 5-8) on March 14th from 10:45 to 12. We meet at the church and a nursery will be available. Looking forward to seeing everyone! All are welcome!! Below is a link to the book on amazon in paperback or kindle. It may also be available at Walmart and Living Word at the mall. May need to be ordered from those but could be local pick-up.
