The Unusual Tale of Mary and Joseph’s Baby

Starting November 29th through December 9th the OKC Civic Center is hosting the play The Unusual Tale of Mary and Joseph’s Baby! For tickets or more information please visit

Kid’s Night Out!!

Tonight from 6 - 10:00pm there will be a Kid’s Night out for children ages birth through 6th grade to have fun and fellowship with other children at church!! (Parents get a night out too!!)


On December 9th at 6:00pm there will be an Intergenerational Celebration of Christmas featuring Music Makers, Young Musicians and the Sanctuary Choir! We would also like to invite everyone to attend fellowship with us after the musical in Fellowship Hall. We would ask that you please bring any special finger foods or Christmas dessert items you would like to share during the fellowship.

The poinsettias will be available for pickup beginning Sunday, December 9th after morning service. Please get a card with your person’s name, a poinsettia and have them delivered by Wednesday December 12th, Thank you. Rocky Wade

Caroling and Pizza Party!!

On December 12th starting at 5:30pm there will be a pizza and hot chocolate party followed by caroling performed by the Sanctuary and Children’s Choir at the Shawnee Mall at 6:30pm in front of Santa’s Workshop! 

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Please join us December 24th at 5:00pm for our Live Nativity Play, Lord’s Supper and Christ Candle Lighting Service!

2019 FBC T-Shirt Design Contest

Individuals/groups are asked to submit a design to be used for volunteer events next year. The design must include the following saying “Love God, Love People, Love Shawnee”. Designs must be turned in to the office or sent to by December 23rd, 2018.

Tech4Tech - Device Donation Drive

From December 9th to December 23rd First Baptist Church will be collecting recently retired personal electronic devices such as tablets, laptops, gaming systems and cellphones. Funds raised from this event will also go towards updating the equipment used here at First Baptist Church. 

VBS Announcement

We are looking for volunteers to assist with VBS which will be held on June 3rd through June 6th! If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Elaine Hawkins.


Celebrate Recovery

Preparations are now being made for starting First Baptist's Celebrate Recovery program in January.  Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered program based on the 12 Steps and the Eight Principles from the Beatitudes in Matthew 5. There are many ways you can help us as we start:  1) Please be sharing this news with others in the Shawnee area, and 2) please be praying about your role in starting this ministry.  Your support will bless us and you will receive a blessing as well.  If you have questions, please call (405)777-6101.
