Fall Festival Coming Soon
Our annual “Fall Festival at the Ford Family Farm” will be Sunday, October 28, 12:00 – 3:00 pm. Special features include a hayride, food, carnival games, music and roasting marshmallows around the bonfire. Children are encouraged to dress up in friendly, family appropriate costumes. Missing Women’s Bible Study kit “Esther”
The Women’s Ministry is missing one of their past Bible Study kits: a Beth Moore study called “Esther”. If you know where this might be, please call the office. Kit can be returned to the church office.
Hospitality Team Leader and Church Clerk
The Nominating Committee is looking for a new Team Leader for the Hospitality Team. The Team Leader is needed right away to help the Hospitality Team in the Fall Festival planning. We are also seeking someone to fill the position of Church Clerk. If these places of service fit your gifts, we need you! Please contact one of the Nominating Committee members: Charles Hawkins, Katie Ford, Eddie Hurt, Gordon Richards or Robbie Henson.
Senior Adult Cookout
The annual Senior Adult Cookout will be this Thursday, October 11, 6:00pm at the home of Bob and Elaine Allison, 8 Bingham Court. Please bring a large side dish plus $2 for the cost of meat and drinks.
For those interested in keeping up with Baptist news, copies of the Baptist Messenger are available at the Welcome Center.
Fire Prevention Month
October is Fire Prevention Month. Please inspect your areas of responsibility in the church building to ensure any debris is removed from storage rooms, closets and classrooms. We will inspect areas later to determine if additional attention is needed. -- The Properties Committee

Preparations are now being made for starting First Baptist's Celebrate Recovery program in January. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered program based on the 12 Steps and the Eight Principles from the Beatitudes in Matthew 5.
