Fall Fellowship Next Sunday
“Fall Fellowship at the Ford Family Farm” will be Sunday, October 28, 12:00 – 3:00 pm. Special features include a hayride, food, carnival games, music and roasting marshmallows around the bonfire. Children are encouraged to dress up in friendly, family appropriate costumes. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share and bring your own lawn chair. You may register by calling the church office at (405)275-6111 or you can register online.
Soccer Clinics, October 27 for boys and girls ages 4-6 (9:00 am) and ages 7-9 (10:30 am) will be conducted by the YMCA on our new soccer field which is located across the street from the church. There will be one more practice day on November 3. Do you love soccer? Do you love children? We need your help on these two Saturdays if this is to be a success. Preparations are now being made for starting First Baptist's Celebrate Recovery program in January. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered program based on the 12 Steps and the Eight Principles from the Beatitudes in Matthew 5. BGCO Annual Meeting
The Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO) annual meeting will be November 12, 6:00 pm - November 13, 5:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Edmond (1300 Southeast 33rd Street, Edmond, OK 73013). If you would like to serve as a messenger, please contact the church office.
Dr. Russell Cook has announced his retirement as Director of Mission of the Pottawatomie-Lincoln Baptist Association effective December 31, 2018. He has faithfully served in this position for 22 years. Out of love and appreciation for his service, an offering is being collected from each church. If you would like to participate in this offering you may do so on Sunday, October 21 or 28. There will also be a retirement reception November 10, 2018, 4:00-6:00 pm at the Geiger Center, Oklahoma Baptist University.
