Pre-Teen Trip to WhiteWater Bay

On Friday, June 2 we will take our Preteens to WhiteWater Bay! (Kids who have completed 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.) Kids can come with or without a parent, but families and friends can come too! We will leave the church at 12:30pm and return by 6:30pm. We have a great rate of $19 per ticket to enter (It's usually $28.99-$38.99!!) If you need help paying for this, just let me know. Otherwise, just pay when you arrive at church for the event on June 2.

The church vans will park free if you want to ride them, or you can take your own car and pay $9 to park.

FOOD: Please eat lunch before you come, if you want a lower cost. Optional: You can send money with your child to buy lunch/snacks there. We can also take a cooler and bring it in for a snack time around 3:30pm.

Please sign up ASAP, if you have not already done so. Also, if you find you cannot go, let me know ASAP. I have to order tickets ahead of time. I'm looking forward to this fun time of fellowship with the kids and families!  (Elaine Hawkins)

Contemporary Worship Service

Starting Sunday, June 4, we will have a Contemporary Worship Service in Fellowship Hall at 10:45 am, going on at the same time as the Traditional Worship Service in the Sanctuary.  As we begin adjusting to some new logistics that come with this, we will be forgoing the Children's Sermon for the summer. Nursery and Kid's Chapel also available for the new service.

For Your Information

  • Chai Tea - Some of you ladies inquired about the chai tea powder mix that was used for the recent Tea Party. Jamie is willing to place an order to buy some for whomever wanted it, it's $10 per bag (20 servings). Please contact her if you would like some.
  • LOST AND FOUND - We do not have an official lost and found here at the FBC office – however, things do accumulate of course. For several Wednesday nights, I will display these things in the Work Room (across from the church office) and you may come rescue your valuables. Also, anytime you like you may call the office at 275-6111 and inquire about things you are missing or just stop by and I will show you our stash. The plan as of right now is to hold onto Bibles, keys, prescription glasses or anything else crucial as long as needed, but – I plan to take cups, jackets, sunglasses, costume jewelry, etc. to Goodwill or Salvation Army by the end of June, if they have not been picked up by anyone. Thanks, Mary
  • Children’s Story Tellers for Sunday School - Starting this Sunday, there will be a sign-up sheet on the church office window for anyone with interest in being a Children’s Summer Story Teller. This activity will take from 10-10:15 each Sunday morning this summer. The stories will be from the Psalms.
