FIRST CONNECTIONS – February 10, 2017
First Baptist Church Shawnee
Be Disciples. Make Disciples.
“And in praying do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” Matthew 6:7-8
Please join the FBC Staff and Personnel Committee
in welcoming Paul Stevens and his wife Ruth to our church.
We are happy to announce that Rev. Stevens was voted to be Interim Pastor
on Sunday, January 29 with a yes vote in excess of 96%.
Paul is engaged in pastoral duties as of February1.
From the Personnel Committee: As Paul and Ruth Stevens live in Edmond and will be spending most of their week in Shawnee, we would like to provide them with a personal space in our building. The third floor office suite will lend itself well to this purpose; however, we will need a few furnishings to accomplish this mission. We are looking for some couches, living room chairs, lamps and perhaps sofa tables. If you have any of these items that you would like to donate to this purpose, please call the church office and leave your name, phone number and the item you have to donate. Someone from Personnel will get back with you. Thank you all in advance for your help.
