First Connections – December 2, 2016
First Baptist Church Shawnee
Be Disciples. Make Disciples.
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the East, and have come to worship him.” When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea; for so it is written by the prophet: ‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will govern my people Israel.’” Matthew 2:1-6

Each bag contains a form with the name of a recipient and suggestions for what you might give them. Inside each bag you also will find a green slip of paper with the reference number of the individual or family to receive the gifts. Please sign your name and phone number on the green slip and place it in the red box on the front center pew. (You may also leave the red or green bag on the front pew so we can use them again next year.) Take the white form with you. We are asking that you purchase, wrap and deliver the gift yourself, no later than December 17. After you have completed giving your gift, sign your form, fold it and place it in the blue Giving Tree box on a table in the Welcome Center. This is how we assure that no one has been forgotten.
