First Connections – November 20, 2015

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,

And in his word I hope;

My soul waits for the Lord

More than watchmen for the morning,

More than watchmen for the morning.

Psalm 130:5-6

Spaghetti Dinner/Fundraiser

Church friends, There is a quarterly business meeting luncheon this Sunday, Nov 22nd following morning worship. It will be a delicious pasta meal featuring sauces from various church member chefs sharing their talents. Donations collected will benefit the Children's summer camp fund. The hospitality committee is assisting with the preparations but additional help is needed. If you could lend a hand, please contact April Stobbe or Margaret Hopkins. Times needing the most help include 10:00 am to 11:30 am in the kitchen and immediately following the lunch with clean-up. Thank you!

Wednesday Night Dinner

Giving Tree Coming Soon!

Bags will be available on the Christmas trees in the Sanctuary on November 29. Each bag contains the name of a recipient with suggestions for what you might give them. Red bags represent a small amount of money required; green bags will suggest a larger amount and Gold bags will contain more than a single person, perhaps a whole family. Please choose as you can and as you feel led. We are asking that you deliver the gift yourself – this is part of the ministry of the Giving Tree – and that the gifts be delivered no later than December 19 (the Saturday before Christmas.) We have more information available which will be announced in church, or call the church office if you have questions - 275-6111.
