First Connections October 30, 2015

First Connections – October 30, 2015

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides for ever.

Psalm 125:1

“Following Jesus Everyday”

We have discipleship books available to go along with Ray’s current Sermon Series. They are available at either the Welcome Center or the foyer (to the west of the Sanctuary.)

New Security Policy for FBC

We want to reaffirm our policy of welcoming everyone to our services here at First Baptist. We are and always will be “a church for everybody”. However, for security reasons, we are going to limit access on Sundays and Wednesdays, excluding persons with no intention of attending our services.

Here is the plan: Sunday morning - no changes at this time to which doors are open or locked during the Sunday School hour, but we are asking everyone who comes to Sunday School to enter the building using the north doors. Then, immediately after SS (10:45 am), all doors will be locked except the north doors (where our security guard is normally posted) and the west doors going into the back of the sanctuary (where we have deacons posted every Sunday.) Sunday nights, access will be limited to the north doors. Wednesday evening, all doors except north doors to be locked at 6:00 pm. These precautions will at least help up to have a visual on everyone who comes into the building during these times. . We also believe that fewer door choices will make it less confusing for guests who are trying to find their way to where they would like to go.

We realize this may require some patience and transition on your part. If you have been in the habit of using the doors by Fellowship Hall, the door by the playground, the east doors going into the Children’s Area, etc., please bear with us as we attempt to make our building safe for all, member and visitor alike.
