First Connections December 5, 2014

First Connections – December 5, 2014

I will sing of the tender mercies of the Lord forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. Psalm 89:1-2

If you took a meal to the Millers and have not already picked up your dishes, you may want to check in the church office. There is a basket full of dishes/pans on the floor behind Mary’s desk. Thank you.

Service Opportunities

 Family Promise

We will be hosting Family Promise here at the church from December 14 through December 21. There is a sign-up sheet on the window outside the church office.

 WND Helpers Needed

Starting in January, we need 2 people to help store the food following Wednesday Night Dinner. It usually takes about 30-45 min. each week. Contact Mark Burnett to volunteer.

 Family Promise Christmas Card Fundraiser

This year Family Promise is selling cards with designs created with love by children who were in our program in 2014. There are 4 designs and each design is sold in bundles of 10 cards with envelopes.  Samples are located in the church office.  Call Dee Ann Schroyer @831-7004 for details

Please help the staff by bringing any 2014 contributions in person to the FBC church office no later than 9:00am on Wednesday, December 31st.  We would greatly appreciate your diligence in this matter.

In order to comply with Internal Revenue Service regulations, any mailed 2014 contribution to FBC must be postmarked by December 31, 2014.  Contributions received after this date (even if the check is written in 2014) must be reported as 2015 contributions when filing an income tax return.

IRS guidelines require that members who wish to itemize deductions must have a copy of the church’s contribution report when filing an income tax return.  Reports will be available in January.
